Prussian Long Service Clasp (schnalle)1825-1913

Description: Originally long service in the Prussian army was denoted by a Schnalle (clasp) and awarded to NCOs. Three classes were created to denote lengths of service (21, 15, 9 years). This is the third class, denoted by the black edged stripes. In 1913 the schnalle was replaced by a medal.
