Added by: megan Description: The Type 2 award is a breast badge, 41mm across, worn on the right breast. It is made of yellow metal and has the shape of a straight equilateral cross with divergent ends covered with crimson enamel, between which are placed rays of white metal. In the middle of the cross is a white enamelled medallion with two gilded laurel branches superimposed on the bottom. In the centre of the medallion on a blue enamel circle there appears the image of the Sign of the Princely State of Volodymyr the Great (the Trident). At the top of the medallion there is the inscription МІНІСТЕРСТВО ОБОРОНИ УКРАЇНИ [MINISTRY OF DEFENCE OF UKRAINE].
