Description: The medal is bronze, 36mm in diameter. The obverse bears right-facing busts of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra inscribed EDWARD VII R.I. ALEXANDRA R. The revese depicts a sailing ship and a Chinese junk against the backdrop of Hong Kong Island, with a military officer shaking hands with a civilian in the foreground, with the inscription SIR HENRY A. BLAKE G.C.M.G. GOVERNOR/TO COMMEMORATE THE CORONATION OF THEIR MAJESTIES THE KING & QUEEN/HONG KONG 1902 (This is the same image as used for the Hong Kong Diamond Jubilee medal, but with a different inscription.)
