Description: The medal is silver, a crowned oval, 95x77mm. The obverse bears the head of the Prince of Wales within a laurel wreath. The reverse depicts the Prince of Wales' personal emblem (3 feathers and the motto ICH DIEN) within a Garter inscribed HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE, around this a representation of the Collar of the Order of the Star of India surrounded by the inscription HRH PRINCE ALBERT EDWARD PRINCE OF WALES INDIA 1875-6.
