The 1st OMSA Annual Convention was in 1960, located in Gloversville, NY. A major milestone was achieved in 2009 when we celebrated our 50th OMSA Annual International Convention in Grand Rapids, MI.

The OMSA Officers and Board of Directors review and approve all OMSA Convention locations once convention proposals are submitted by the OMSA Convention Chairman. When possible, convention locations are alternated between the west coast, mid-west and east coast to share the burden of travel distance and costs to those attending. This is not always possible due to the need to have a local OMSA Convention Chairman ‘on the ground’ willing to volunteer their time as well as identifying suitable convention site locations meeting all of our logistical needs.
