MemberHey everyone. Unfortunately I had to let my membership temporarily lapse to pay for a home health aide. Hopefully I will renew it next month. I miss the JOMSA and I know that I’ve missed some excellent articles. I plan to get back issues for all that I’ve missed..

MemberHad a hunt, but all I can find is a lapel pin version of the Proteus emblem… do you want that?
Hi Megan,
Sorry it took so long to get back to you. It’s been crazy here. I would like to use the lapel emblem. Thank you for the offer. Proper credit will be given.Doc

MemberI think I need to get permnission to use the photo. I’ll post it as soon as possible. I might be able to crop the group to just show the ASM with the Protea attachment.

MemberSUCCESS!!! Thanks Paul!!! I entered the auction date and only the keyword Protea and found that amazing group. Now to get permission to use the picture and I can get the article to the editor. This was all that I was waiting on.
A VERY HAPPY DOC!

Hi Paul,
I searched for it using the info you gave me and could not find it. I really need a picture of an ASM with a Bronze King Protea leaf attachment to finish a JOMSA article. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.Best,

MemberYou are always much more than welcome, Ed – it’s good to hear you again!
Good catch, too. From H. Taprell Dorling 1946 edition, on a piece of paper stuck in & headed ‘Addenda’ we have:-
"INDIA SERVICE MEDAL, 1939-45: This medal will be awarded for three years’ non-operational service with the Indian Forces between 3 September 1939 and 2 September 1945. It will not be awarded to anyone who qualifies for the Defence Medal but will be granted in addition to the War Medal and the Campaign Stars."
The source of this information is cited as a statement to the House of Commons by the Prime Minister on 6 June 1946.
Good Catch!!! Yes Ed, it is good to hear from you here. Your knowledge is highly valuable.
Take Care,

MemberGuys,
It’s was just habit. For over two years I had to post both the the JOMSA Cover and Index Pages and Convention information in the forum because our Webmaster was "MISSING IN ACTION" and no one could change the JOMSA and Convention information on the Home Page. I’ll fix this. Like I said…just force of habit. Here’s the link to the Cover and Index page: https://www.omsa.org/content/current-editionDoc

MemberI know that John. I have always wrote my impression of each issue and post the cover and Index Page with it. I do this so that a person can look back and see the issue I have wrote about.
