Saw this around online years ago, and have tried to find out about it ever since. I’m assuming it is an Association-type medal? However, if anyone has any insight into this one, I’d love learning anything!

Appears to relate to a French Resistance group during WW2, associated with the Maquis. The centre shows a lion and univorn, the supporters of the UK Royal Arms, and inbetween there is a crudely-drawn map of the British Isles.

“Pawnticket” may have been the name of the group, a distinctive codeword… sorry, cannot find any more.
