My father served in the airforce for 25 years. During the 70’s he was staioned in Thailand and was awarded the Royal Thai Supreme Command Forward Badge (2nd class). However, he never received the badge. He has been getting all of his awards and decorations together but has not been able to find this badge. Would anyone know what the badge looked like or where I could find one? Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hello Roger,

Yes, the Badge is difficult to get.

I have lived in Thailand since 2008.

This topic has come up before on Facebook in various military groups.

I would suppose one would need access to the Thai military to get this badge.

I was awarded this foreign award in 1973.

Please e-mail me privately < fortean1@mindspring.com >. I can send you an image of the Badge.

    Best wishes,

    Terry W. Colvin

I don’t know anything about this specific badge, but there are many military tailor shops around the Army Ministry building in Bangkok (close to the Palace), and I have been able to buy many medals and badges there, some of very high precedence. Do you have a contact in Bangkok to give it a try?

I live just south of Hua Hin.

That is good information which I’ll pass along.

    I already have the badge.

    Best wishes,

    Glad you found it.
