A 5th Class Knight badge of the Order of Isabella the Catholic.
This particular design variety began in 1938 and was used until 1975. This specimen is ca. early 1940s to mid 1950s vintage and of fine quality of manufacture.
Made of heavy solid silver, gilt silver and multi-color enamels. Height to top of wreath suspension is 67mm, width 43mm; total weight is 33.5 grams. On the reverse ribbon ring are sharply struck maker and/or hallmarks, one a star with dot in the center and the other, the numerals “55” with an “M” just below.
Condition: One tiny flake on the reverse, within the “Y” of the monogram, otherwise Choice Extremely Fine with attractive iridescent tone to the silver. Price $135 + $5 post/ins. in the USA.
