    Yuri, this mount is really weird! I have only before seen it used on awards of the Ministry of Transport http://www.omsa.org/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=1078 and of the MInistry of Communication and Mass Media http://www.omsa.org/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=1086.

    Why would a purely military award be suspended by such a mount? In my humble opinion, somebody just covered an incorrect mount with the ribbon and hung the medal from it. This medal isn’t even awarded to civilians of the Defense Ministry…
