ParticipantI am new to the forum but have been collecting and writing books on medals amd ribbons for a number of years. Lonny Borts and John Sylvester and I have done books together. I am finishing up a new 200 page book on Air Force Medals and ribbons from 1916 to present (if the Air Force will quit creating new awards for a month or so). I hope there may be 2 or 3 members who might like to do a pre publication review and comment on the latest draft. It will certainly be helpful to have some other view points and suggestions. Basicly I will send you a pdf file for you to look at ( about 20 pages at a time). You will have the pleasure of pointing out my mistakes and beating me verbally around the head and shoulders for being an old soldier writing on the Air Force. This drill will run thru the month of April and early May. Hopefully I can provide copies of the final book to those who help review it along with cocktails and dinner at the convention in Atlanta. If interested please email me at chicorafrank@gmail.com. Thank you and I look forward to being on the forum.

ParticipantFrank,
Are you including anything on the Air Force civilian medals?
I have had a particular interest in the Civilian Air Medal, and information seems to be rather scarce about them.July 14, 2015 at 7:23 pm #17528ffoster
ParticipantSorry for the delay but had not checked in for a while. Just military from 1914 to present..at 192 pages just do not have room for more.

ParticipantNo problem Frank, I should visit here myself more often.
I would be glad to share what I have found on the CAM if you decide to write another book!
Haven’t had much time to follow up on the research for my article lately.May 31, 2017 at 12:15 am #33946harry brown
