I’ve run into an American Field Seervice publication that says the Italian government made this award to 6 of it members in World War II.

Does anyone know what the award is?

No idea – but "Il Cuore di Rincalzo" is the motto of the 183º Reggimento paracadutisti "Nembo" (and seems associated with Italian military parachutists in general)- perhaps the recipients served with or were associated with said regiment during WW1?

Would it be possible to see a picture of this medal?

I don’t remember any official Italian award with this motto.

    Best wishes,

    Enzo

Unfortunately, there is no photo. This "medal" was listed in an American Field Service publication with no further information.
