Does anyone have some thoughts on how to determine if a 1914 Grand Cross Breast Star is an older museum copy as opposed to a more recent post-WW2 copy? The medal in question was owned by a local now deceased long-time collector , since at least the 60s. It seems to be of high quality, maybe silver, no hallmarks. The IC is affixed to the star by 2 rivets .
