Does anyone know where I can obtain an original Russian For Defense of Crimea Medal from 2014?

Also, have there been any new official Russian Federation medals created in the past two years?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Our resident expert is Frank Dutil but he’s on deployment at the moment (Canadian Air Force).

2014 saw quite a slew, mostly more generic service medals for various branches of service.

2016 saw Medal “For the Liberation of Palmyra” and Medal “For the Demining of Palmyra” if it’s campaign medals you are interested in.

    Try https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Awards_and_emblems_of_the_Ministry_of_Defence_of_the_Russian_Federation for more information.

    Thanks, Megan.

    I found this article:  https://www.defensenews.com/home/2016/03/29/russian-military-orders-10000-medals-for-troops-in-syria/

I have yet to see the medals as shown anywhere other than in the images within this article.

I recently purchased examples of the Palmyra medals you mentioned.  Although, I cannot honestly vouch for their authenticity.

    Thanks,

    Kevin
