The General Society of Colonial Wars Color Guard medal was created in 1039 by the NY Society for issue to it's members who served on the Society Color Guard. the medal was maunfactured by Dieges & Clust of New York. The General Society of Colonial Wars was founded in 1893 and membership requires direct descent from an ancestor who served in the military or government service in the colonies between 1607-1775.
