The Croix de Guerre / War Cross – LVF (Légion des Volontaires Français) has been instituted on 18 July 1942, by the Central Committee of the LVF.

It is a rare Croix de Guerre, created by the Vichy Government for the French Volunteers of the LVF, who fought against "bolchevism" under the German uniform on the Eastern Front.

Inspired by the Croix de Guerre 1939-1940, its reverse displays the inscription "Croix de Guerre Légionnaire".

    400 crosses have been awarded.

This Cross has been cancelled and suppressed by Ordonnance dated 7 January 1944.
