I volunteer at a thrift shop and this medal came in over night someone had left a bag of clothing which had this medal inside it. We have no clue as to where is came from or what this medal could be. Inscription reads: “Ereteken Van Erkentelijkheid Klas”

Possibly Belgian – Flemish rather than Dutch on reverse – they have heaps of society and other unoffical medals knocking around and it’s probably one of those.

The inscription on the reverse, by the way, reads ‘Decoration of Gratitute 2nd Class’.
