What happened to all of the old stuff? Has it been retained somewhere? I am a member but do not know if I have now said so or ever did before. I am lost in the new page when I see sections that I used to visit empty now Imperial Russian for example. Where'd it all go?

Is there a section on the Convention? I just came it to write some more about the upcoming convention and can't find any of the old stuff? Future shock is here for me at least.

Ed,

The old site is archived and we are moving content from the old to the new. The first priority has been to transfer Russian material to the new website. Doc Riley is taking on that task to start with.

You are a member (if you look under your post it will show your status).

If you look to the top menu and click on the Convention tab, it will take you to the Convention section. There is a lot of material on the upcoming Convention there as well as information on past conventions.

I know it is different but we are adding a lot of new material and making a concerted effort to keep the old. Let us know if you have any other concerns.

Best wishes,

John

I'm an OMSA member #8023 but I searched my profile and couldn't find where to put my membership number, so I'm still censored...

I hope a recent version of the database will be uploaded as I put hundreds pictures and comments in the last few months (including the name in french language for all french medals, took me 2 days...).

Felix,

You have been updated as an OMSA member now. The database will be updated to reflect the changes during the transition.

Another issue, if I'm closing my navigator (Firefox) and open it again to go the OMSA forum I need to log in again (on the older forum, I didn't need to log in each time) and when logged, I click on the forum page but I'm directed to the homepage.

Thanks to add me as a member.

On the "publications' page, if I want to buy a monograph, I only have the "non member" option.

A very good idea to scan the past issues of the JOMSA, but certainly a long work.

Hi to all,

Just discovering this new version... No comment, as it would be prelmature to do so, only afew minutes after joining the new website...

But...

1. Where is the old stuff ?
2. No French section or sub-forum ? I was the Moderator of this section in nthe "old" forum and we (a number of members)made a lot to make it clean and clear...
3. Why the need to change passwords... ?

I will have many more questions and remarks, but as far as today, i'm lost here... :(

Cheers.

On the main OMSA home page, you should see the pull down menu under Publications with an option to go to the Publications for OMSA Members only.

The user ids were copied from the old website where there was no way of indicating if you were an OMSA member or not. In fact the only requirement was a working email address. In the process of transferring, we have tried to identify OMSA members, but this was not possible in many cases, such as yours. We are sorry about this inconvenience, and will get your status updated.
There is no censorship for anyone, and OMSA members can post without moderation.

Thanks, -Peter
