Chinese Aviation Medal

The medal shown, presumably from the Warlorad Perid is described only as "Chinese Aviation Medal to C.H.D.". Charles H. Dolan II was the last living American member of the Lafayette Escadrille. Can anyone provide the correct nomencalture for this medal?

National China Air force Medal issued by the Kuomingtang regime (1928-49). Presumably comes in more than one class as I found a fully enamelled example listed in Borna Barac's book.

Whatever it is quite a rare item.
