Collecting German imperial order decorations or medals is an incredible hobby. Not only will one be able to dive into a bottomless "pit" of European and world history but also own some amazing pieces of marksmanship from the early 19th century all the way up until 1918. Here a beautiful example of the Bavarian St.Michael Order, a grand cross star.

The craftsman ship is exquisite. It would be an absolute moment of pride to be resented with something as wonderful as this.

You are right about the history aspect, I only thought France had one revolution (1789) till about 2o years ago when i started studying German states. I am fifty two.

So much for an enlightened education system.
