Assistance Please

Hi all: I am at a friend's place and he has a number of medals that he inherited from his grandparents and great grandparents over the years. I need to see if anyone has information on the little information that he has given me.

The first is a medal he calls the "Joffre Medal" - France

The Second is the "Lucknow Medal with a Bar"

The Third is the the Crimea medal with "Sebastapol, Valakeva? and Alma" Bars(?)

The Fourth is 1914-1915 Horseshoe Shape with Canon"

Any assistance on this is greatly appreciated.

I suspect the "Lucknow" medal to be the British Indian Mutiny Medal, with bar "Lucknow"

The British Crimea Medal, with bars "Sebastopol". Balaklava" and "Alma"

I'll have to chew on the other descriptions, such as they are.

As for Joffre medals, they we unofficial and sometimes quite crudely made. There were different models, any chance at some pics?

Hi All:
Thank you for your input. I am currently away from the awards, and I never recieved a notice by email that anyone responded to my posts. I'll have to check the medals again when I go for a visit again. I'll post pictures. Sorry for my delayed response. I will have to pay better attention to my posts and those who respond.
