This clasp roll for the Royal Navy has been created from the roll compiled by Captain K.J. Douglas-Morris, R.N. and published by J.B Hayward & Son in April 1973 and is reproduced with the express permission of Mr. Hayward. The Gemaizah Clasp was issued in 1890 and the instructions in the London Gazette were that men who were in possession of the medal for Egypt (1882) or for the Soudan would receive the clasp only and were to return the medal and clasps for a new set of clasps to be added. Here is a blog post on the medal issuance and clasps awarded for this battle.
